Yes! So many people hear these messages as "What, you're advocating returning to the Stone Age and giving up on tens of thousands of years of progress" but you're clearly explaining what the similarities and differences are. You and Tom are advocating moving forward (and learning from past trends), not moving backward.

In my experience, Austin is a great place to transition, despite being in Texas. The state laws are occasionally annoying, but there's surprisingly little prejudice and wide-eyed stares.
