Own Your Mind : Best GIT Hosting

I apologize for the very late reply, it seems like Intense Debate just decided not to notify me of your comment. I must agree that Unfuddle is quite impressive. It offers a lot of options and functions for free. Although, I still prefer GitHub because it's cheaper. I believe the expensive ones you're talking about are the "Giga" and "Mega" packages but I don't really need that much space. You'll also have to concur that the GitHub community is very vast and you'll find some great programmers in there which are willing to help you ( at least most of them ).

Own Your Mind : From GIT to Eclipse

I did a little search and still couldn't figure out what's wrong with your workspace. It must be the git server configuration, maybe you miss typed something? Try to leave the "Password" field empty, if the connection was successful it will prompt you for password, else it will disconnect. If it still doesn't work, maybe this guide will work for you: http://github.com/guides/using-the-egit-eclipse-p... Hope it helped.

Own Your Mind : Installing PostgreSQL through MacPorts

I'll make a new post on how to install PosgreSQL 8.4 and MySQL. But have you tried install it using this guide? It will probably very similar, just replace 8.3 with 8.4. You can just wait for the post but I don't know when I'll make it.

I've had noticed that you work there when you said "We" :) But yeah, I'll definently take a look at it. It seems very nice ( and it hope it doesn't just "seem", right? ) The best website for SVN hosting that I've found untill now is BeanStalk, unfortunaly, their Free package isn't that good because it only provides one repository. The fact that you support these 2 version control systems is also a great feature!

I'm sorry I haven't had time to reply to your comment. Anyway, the SVN plugin ( as well as the CVS one ) are very good and very complete. They're also fantasticly integrated inside of the very core of Eclipse, which makes them even better. The GIT plugin has all the basic features ( probably the ones that you'll need right now ) but it's still in development. It's very tightly integrated but it need a few more lines of code to become has great as it's friends. Give it a try, the installation is quite simples has you see in my post.

DavidMichaelThompson : Notes: installing Django / Python / Mysql on OS X

Yes, I did use the latest version ( at least for MAC ) but it didn't work for the development version. And I'm using the Python version that comes already installed. The newest version ( I think ) it already comes with MySQLdb pre-installed.
