Daily Camera.com: : New retirement community, The Carillon at Boulder Creek, to open in Boulder - Boulder Daily Camera

$3500 a month is the starting price, meaning some will cost more, basically for the rental of an apartment. "Amenities" include cable TV, an ecopass and a few meals - not exactly luxury. This complex is advertised for "active seniors" (ie, people who do not need assisted living and could rent a better, cheaper place in a better neighborhood for much less than $3500!). This location will provide them a noisy student neighborhood between two major busy streets, huge parking problems, lights of the stadium directly in their windows, no privacy, and the resentment of all the neighbors who fought this building's development, knowing that it would ruin their views and TV/radio reception, create more traffic and noise problems and destroy their neighborhood. Can't wait to see who will be duped into paying $3500+ for that!
