This is sickening. Why should someone get off with this sentance when her family has to deal with the loss of her the rest of their lives? It really amazes me that people can spend so much $ at a bar drinking, but not save just a couple drinks worth of $ to get a cab home, or give a DD some gas or something... I don't drink much, and have lost plenty of friends and family members from this. I prefer to make sure people get home safely after drinking, so I can sleep at night knowing I might have saved someone. Just sad that this man didn't think of the consequences before driving that night, because this woman's life was taken for no apparent reason. I really hope he does change in she SHORT amount of time he is behind bars.
oh geez. Guess he wanted to one up the woman catching that ball the other week with a baby in her hand. Guess woman can multitask easier LOL. Glad the baby girl was okay, and I am sure when she is older she will laugh about it with her father.
prayers go out to both families that are involved in this. It's so sad to hear when someone looses their life, especially in such a horrific way. I am happy that the driver of the car in the wrong place at the wrong time has non life threatening injuries and should make a full recovery. I just hope that the family involved can remember the good times and have some closure. So sad.
You know they used to be known as nanny dogs, because they are very great with kids? I feel bad for this man and his dog, and I would still feel bad if it was another type of dog attacking them, but it makes me feel that you all don't believe you would feel as bad if it was another breed other than a pit. I am going to leave you with this last thought, instead of picturing this breed in a light they have been given due to owners, why don't you get off your lazy a** and get to know one, you will surprize yourself, fall in love, and regret anything you have said bad. Also, there are tons of bully breeds (including german shepards) that are given a good name, but they are known to do the same things...
I want to start out with saying I hope that the dog makes a full recovery and am glad they weren't too badly hurt. With that said first off this picture is just offensive. Being a pit owner myself it's very disrespectful and nauseating just how mean some people could be. Remember these are animals, doing what they have been trained by human beings to do. It's not the breed that gives them a bad name but the owners who think training a kind hearted animal is okay to do. My baby might be a pit bull but she is anything but what you all are saying and what this picture is portraying. She loves kids, other dogs, cats, and animals, and giving kisses to anyone who will let her. She has been trained right, just like any other dog I have had, and I would give up anything for her as she is my baby. Some of these comments sure do make me sick, it's like some of you just don't care why they act like this.

The owner should have to pay the fines and do the time. The animal although did wrong, if was in the right environment was probably as loving as Ty was. Pit Bulls aren't the enemy,
it's people that have a bad notion of Pit Bulls or train them to be mean and
agressive that are the enemy. I used to be one of you, that hated the thought
of having a "bully breed" and even went as far as to tell my sister when I had
children I wouldn't bring them to her house as she had a female pit. I changed
my mind and myself bought one, because they turned out to be the most loving,
loyal, effectionate dogs/family members, to me and my husband. In turn over 90%
of my friend own pit bulls. DON'T HATE THE BREED, many types of animals do this every day but no news is written about them.

Should the owner have put their Pit Bull on a leash, yes every dog should be
leashed REGARDLESS of what type of dog, and the owner should take more
responsibility for their dog than they obviously did. I personally feel that it
was the owners fault that the dog attacked, wheather it be the way he raised
the animal, that it wasn't properly leashed, etc...
First off, we only hear of news if it involves a Pit Bull. NEVER is anything posted when things like this happen if it's another dog!!! I have had plenty of friends that have lost their dogs to dog on dog violence, and it's never been from a Pit Bull attack!!! I have owned many dogs of all shapes and sizes, and my current dog (a Pit Bull) is the MOST loving, and generous dog I have ever met. Everyone has nothing but nice words and things to say about her. Any dog like a person can kill, simple as that. You don't know what triggers it, but it happens, just like murders do amongst humans. When it comes to animals, its the owners responsibility to take care of them, and teach them right from wrong, just like parents teach their children. If you as a owner are unwilling to do so, it can result in rebelling of a dog just like a kid does.
