How about some real transparency. Like the fact that Moore was arrested for going after someone with a baseball bat. Now the bat is metaphorical, but he's still breaking kneecaps of those who disagree with him.

Not all of the trustees act like they work for the administrator. Some act like they work for the mayor.

But there are two who actually seem to think for themselves. Of course they are ostracized by the rest of the herd.

Hauger is so far up the mayor's behind that if he ever stopped quickly, they'd both be in trouble. And the mayor is nothing but a mouthpiece the administrator.

It is all free money. Obama GAVE it to us.

Question: Where was the removal of the runway on the meeting agenda?
Answer: It wasn't

Question: What was the airport authority board's recommendation?
Answer: They didn't make one because the town council acted on the report immediately upon delivery, without seeking direct input on the matter from their own group of experts.

Question: Where was the notice for a public hearing on removing the alternate runway?
Answer: There wasn't one.

But the report took months to complete, so somehow concerned citizens were just supposed to know this would be done at this time.

You insinuate that the airport is subsidized every single time you speak about the airport. In fact, I think the words "airport" and "subsidized" are inexorably linked in your vernacular. Saying "I don't want the taxpayers to subsidize the airport" in every statement does not mean that the airport is subsidized, nor does it mean that it ever will be. Sure leaves an impression, though, doesn't it?

It's a very smooth verbal slight of hand that the mayor has perfected to suggest something that just isn't so.

I could say "I don't want the taxpayers to subsidize Oracle." Hey, if Oracle does really poorly, who knows, maybe the feds will dole out some money. Looking at the balance sheet, it seems likely that a bailout of Oracle will be necessary, so there is a very real chance that it could happen. Did I mention that I don't want the taxpayers to subsidize Oracle?

Later, rinse, repeat.

I don't want the taxpayers to subsidize the airport either, nor do I suspect the pilots who fly there. Nor is there danger of this happening, except in the mayor's mind. Look at the airport fund. It is actually making money. But that is not convenient for killing the alternate runway in the middle of the night by a board full of cowards, thus enabling the mayor to install his trail to the sewer plant.

If you don't live there, how do you know there is constant airplane noise? I live nearby the airport (not in the airpark) and almost never hear airplane noise. The majority of the town is nowhere near the airport. I have real trouble believing that the only reason you don't move there is the airplane noise. A red herring if I've ever seen one.

The airport doesn't cost the town a cent. Look at the airport budget.

This is a perfect example of how the mayor's deliberate attempt to promulgate false information leads to a mis-informed public and thereby sways public opinion with false facts. Moore is definitely ready for Washington.

Now mayor obama can put in his legacy trail to nowhere. Oh wait, it goes to the sewer plant. On second thought, a trail with a smelly destination is the perfect legacy to this administration. What are you running for next, Andy?

Forgive us, Mr. Mayor, if we don't believe your tripe. You boast about open government and then jam your pet issues through in the middle of the night. Perhaps we should call you Mayor Obama.
