OnlyPencil.com : Hyenas

I use a tool called a color shaper. Its basically a pencil with a silicone tip. This tip is great for spreading out the pencil. Its a great way to shade with this technique. I have never used a knife, because it will just cut through the paper. The only things i use are needles or things that have a point that is not to sharp that it may damage paper. Using different sized needles gives you different ways of using, from fine hairs to thicker hairs. I also use pens without any ink(make sure that there is absolutely no more ink in the pen). The tip is great for thicker hair, its also great for other things such as adding texture to rocks and wood. If you\\\'re creative enough you can find different ways of using this technique.

OnlyPencil.com : Evolution: Great Gray Owl

I use a combination of charcoal and pencil. I put down a layer of charcoal and then go over it with 6b pencil. If you want really deep blacks then you want to use just charcoal.

OnlyPencil Drawing Tutorials : Making Your Own ACEO Cards

ACEO's are a great way to promote yourself. They don't necessarily need to be sold online, they can also be sold through local art fairs or be given out as business cards. If you find the right subjects to draw they can be very popular when sold online. Ebay.com and etsy.com is a great place to test out what works and what doesn't. Once you have an idea of what people enjoy you can start offering larger drawings and someone who enjoys your artwork might purchase one of those. You can also sell prints of your work.

OnlyPencil Drawing Tutorials : Drawing Realistic Hair With Pencil Part Two-Cat Drawing

negative drawing is a great way to use the stylus technique. The lines that are created using the stylus are created negatively with the surrounding area that is covered in pencil. Once you get better practice with this technique you will begin to see patterns when you are indenting. The best way to improve is to practice and with time you will see great results. Before picking up the pencil make sure to study whatever you are drawing. This will allow you to see things that should be there. You can't draw what you can't see or don't know, so it makes a big difference knowing what to add to your drawing. In regards to drawing hair, the more you understand it the easier it will be to use that tool. Well thank you for the kind words and im glad these tutorials have been helpful. Have fun with. A big part of drawing is being able to enjoy it.

OnlyPencil Drawing Tutorials : Drawing Realistic Cat Eyes

That is the best way to improve, keep drawing. The more you draw, the easier it will become. You will see improvement with each one. Every new drawing that i do is a learning experience and i use whatever i learned on my next drawing. The moment you believe that you have learned everything is the moment you hit a wall and will not move from there. Thank you for chipping in and i know the video tutorials will be a great compliment to the written tutorials. Thank you for the kind words and hopefully these tutorials have been helpful. Take Care.
