You are quite right that LaplandUK's parent company was forced into administration in January 2010. This was due to the exceptional and extreme snowy conditions experienced in Kent in December 2009, which forced the event to close for two days (18th/19th December). Being so close to Christmas these families were unable to be rescheduled as the event had sold out until Christmas and the insurance policy covering LaplandUK for this eventuality is still in the process of handling these refunds.

LaplandUK has secured new investment for 2010 and has immediately offered all families affected by the extraordinary closures of 2009 complimentary tickets to this year's event ( on top of their refunds).

To ensure this situation does not arise again, LaplandUK has secured SEE Tickets as its sole ticketing agency for 2010, Europe's largest ticketing agency who guarantee a full immediate refund in the event of cancellation.

LaplandUK did not close for a single day in 2008 and with a greater ice clearance policy in place for 2010, certainly intends to remain open every day of the event this Christmas.
