I was about 10 when it aired, and my older brother and I watched it religiously. My favorite was Slappy the Squirrel, followed closely by Pinky and the Brain. Buttons and Mindy were the wooooorst.

Revisiting it is amazing. I definitely cherish the memory of rewatching it with my brother, laughing our heads off, while our parents and my sister-in-law watched in silence.

Oh MAN that is so so so scary and weird. I'm glad you and your housemates are okay, and nothing appears to be missing.

Something similar happened to me at my old place - I got home, door was wide open, roommate not home, nothing missing but my CAT and it was so so so freaky. (Cat was found at my downstairs neighbor's apartment, very confused but okay). We never learned anything more and nothing else happened, so :/

Hopefully the business end of things will wrap up quickly, and you will be able to get back to your evening routine posthaste. It's an unsettling experience no matter what else happens though, so please take care of yourself in the meantime.
