Maybe the battery just went bad? Thanks for suggestions, hopefully something will work out.

So, I'm not sure why it wasn't depleting with the ATT sim card but when I put in TMobile SIM card it depletes
But yea, it depletes right after restore and jailbreak. I haven't tested to see if it does it before the jailbreak (right after restore).

This is after having restored the phone and set up as new in iTunes. Any suggestions?

I did it on Windows XP. The entire process is very easy and does not take a lot of time, just stick to the instructions and you should be good.

Redsn0w will give you the jailbreak which will put Cydia as one of your apps. From cydia you can add the iphone-dev repo to the sources list and then install ultrasn0w.
I have been using the 3GS on T-Mobile and everything works perfectly but I haven't been able to fix the battery drain problem yet... That's only thing left and I'll be set.
