i know he is one of the precious 86 mets, but ever since Howard Johnson took over as hitting coach, the Mets have struggled with men in scoring position. It might just be a coincidence but regardless if this is still a problem in June, i think you have to let him go...

i still think Figueroa will be very successful as the long man. Starting is a different story but he can give you 2-3 innings in relief for the games Ollie implodes

but he's not a Met. let them build the rotunda in Cooperstown but its no big deal. i care more about the fact that you can't see down the lines on TV or in the stadium!!!!

but the difference between Ollie and Lowe is so great that they should have signed him regardless. The Braves will certainly get their money's worth out of Lowe...

the Mets will be in the thick of things all year. they simply have too much talent to fall far enough behind. the question is would Omar trade Niese and Murphy for a top notch starter. I would do it in a second but then again most Mets fans would cry if Murphy got traded...

actually i dont see Murphy as anything special but i see the hype as the Mets develop a prospect once every 5 years or so. I would trade him for a good starter though as .290 8-12 HR is nothing special...

but to say that the Mets are a world series contender is just as foolish. you cant win with this rotation unless everyone pitches at their best at the same time and with Ollie and Maine it doesnt work like that...

as i said when he first signed, When Livan is pitching at his best he is a top of the rotation guy...he is clearly the 2nd best pitcher we have (as of now)

Wright is not the problem. the problem is our 6,7,8 hitters dont produce and Pelfrey, Maine and Ollie are not pitching well. i just hope a legit #2 starter becomes available. not on the level of Halladay, Peavy or Oswalt but a step below them like a Paul Maholm, Aaron Harang, Chris Young etc.

well personally when I go to the games I like to be able to see what's going on. Even when your watching on TV you can't tell if its fair or foul down the lines??? give me the cheaper ticket prices at Shea. I could care less about the overpriced food becasue i eat before the game. I dont care how good the shakeshack is its not better than Friday's or a place like that where I can get better food for half the price and i dont have to wait 30 minutes. I also could care less about dedicating the stadium to a player who has nothing to do with the Mets at all!!!!
