14 posts in an hour. Quality will always suffer.
Time perhaps for listening mode to kick in.
No reply necessary. I have other stuff to do now.

Have you nothing else to do?

“The implication was clear. Gather illegally in a small enough number, sufficiently peaceably to pose no threat of “serious disorder” or “a violent situation”, and the police will require you to stop and disperse on pain of arrest. “

Sorry, but the truth is that any attempt to enforce the lockdown, small gatherings or large, has long since been abandoned.

No good looking for a rational debate.
Like it or not, the cry “how come it’s safe for children to go back to school but not MPs to return to Westminster” will have a lot of traction. Any rebuttal of this, however well argued, will fall on deaf ears.

“An employee can’t be dismissed or treated unfairly for choosing not to work on Sundays.”
Copied and pasted from GovUK.

I doubt that there would be the slightest problem allowing people to choose a work pattern which excluded Sunday.
But your argument is illogical. Who wants to sit in a railway ticket office on a Sunday? Or drive a bus? Or work in the entertainment or leisure industry?
The horse bolted a long, long time ago.

It would be more logical to argue for a ban on Sunday trading.
To say “ok, you can open at 10.00 but not at 8.00” is a nonsense.
Far better, and more democratic, to abolish the Sunday distinction altogether. Shopping on a Sunday would not be compulsory.

Anyone who wants to buy genuine free range chicken can continue to do so. At a huge premium.
For anyone buying supermarket “value” chicken the USA version will be a logical step on the same road.

If you think it will be a catastrophe you haven’t followed Boris Johnson’s career. The normal rules simply don’t apply. He will be judged on the economy, not this.

I did say “he argues “
I don’t claim to have the expert knowledge you obviously have.
However, I would imagine the number of complaints to the police run into hundreds. And yet he hasn’t been interviewed on the subject.
