I am so happy to hear that someone finally stuck it to AT&T. They are arrogant, entirely over-rated, mis guided, and, and , and, wait for it, NO GOOD!!! I wish every AT&T customer would WAKE UP!!! AT&T has been ripping off their customers for years, and enough is enough. That goes for Verizon TOO!!! If you advertise it, then live up to your word. You are not running for president! And as for the "non-discloser" thing, BULL!!! you wanted to pursue it, you had notice, and you AT&T ignored it! Tough cookies! deal with it!

you are crazy. It doesn't matter what the girl was doing! she was assaulted in a place that is supposed to be safe. PERIOD! I can see why kids carry guns and knives to school. Why Columbine's happen. this was not mutual combat or peer smackdown. this was a cold and calculated, premeditated attack. this IMHO was nothing less than attempted murder, and the Astoria DA should treat it as much. Or does it really matter, until the next person get's killed because this was just a matter of kids being kids?

you are talking apples and comquats.... a good or bad credit history does not tell anything about an employee's worth. a criminal background check will tell you more than a faulted (YES the system is faulted) system can. Otherwise Identity theft would be a very controable thing. Credit beaurus need to be abolished. period. amazingly enough, your credit is now affected by your ex spouses. I know I just went through it myself, from a woman that I haven't been married to for 20 years. I'm getting calls for her, from collection agencies, becasue they "did" a background check and saw that her and I were married once, so, they thought that they'd try and find her with me? I wonder why they don't do credit checks on businesses like AIG, Merrell Lynch, Bank of America, GM?? why? becasue they run the system!!! that's why

All of you lighteb up. Yes, Francis is a low life. But, I know of at least 2 dozen girls that traveled to the various locations where he was filming. Just to get a chance to be in one of his smut films. The article is about what sworn officers did or didn't do, while in the performance of thier jobs. One of the convicted took $3200 cash? And he didn't think he was giving a bribe? and for that and tax evasion, this guy gets a time served and 1 year probation?? Goes to show you, the rich do get privledges that rest of us don't.

Disgusting,,,, does he not even value human contact more than that???? That's why they call us PIGS!!!!! Again, prison for him IMHO....3. If KATU is going to link these local stories, and report the "news" the BG they should at least inform us readers that the jailer PAID for the act as opposed to consensual acts.. When I read the article, it appeared that this was a consensual act, even above and beyond his disgusting acts and total abuse of his duties... I support legalized prostitution from consenting and fully functional adults. I do not support corrosion, implied consent or anything less. McMaster should be charged with the fullest extent of the power of the law... this puke is disgusting, and should pay much more than a job loss and a night in jail... GO TO JAIL William J. McMaster, directly to jail William J. McMaster. Find out what it is like to be abused in a penal (NO PUN) system.

OK,,, I just have to comment on this article. 1. It was wrong for the Jailer to engage in any type of behavior other than his appointed duties. I am pretty sure that it is a felony in Oregon to do any less. He should be in prison. Period, end of subject. 2. After following the link and a bit of research, it turns out that the jailer, in fact paid for services from the pro @ $40 a trick. end pt 1

TOO FUNNY!! "KATU News looked into allegations of lewd behavior at Secret Rendezvous" Hello??? I guess KATU is so sheilded in thier Sany BLVD studios that they haven't noticed that there are at least 4 establishments (that I can remember just driving in the area) within blocks of thier studio? And obviously everyone from KATU involved in story, are new to the planet, and unfamiluar of the mmore mature things that go on inside a massage parlor or a lingerie studio?? Here's a news flash KATU: There is sexual acts going on behind those doors!!, No, it's true,, men, and women who go to those places are seeking a product, just like when I go to Fred Meyers or Taco Bell. I'm going there to purchase a product that they sell. SO... now that we know that people are going to these "lingerie models" in the hopes of pruchasing sex. Let's move on. It is time that we all, as a society, get rid of our puritanical ideas, and either provide prison space and enact a total moritorium on sex purchase,, or grow up and regualte it like we do for Cigarettes and Aocohol. That is what Sin tax is for right??

I agree to a point. She is a city official, and she spent city money while she was in Vegas. I've been to Vegas more times than I like to count, and it is expensive. But when I was on my company’s dime, I had to justify my actions or I would be fired, and would still have to pay back what I owed the company. She should have to justify hers. And $88 bottles of wine are excessive, but a $50 dinner is not even by Vegas standards. She should have not have let this get this far. I say, not only don't re-elect her and censure her. But she should be charged with government malfeasance now...

Well I hate to say it.. But you know at least one of these pukes will claim that it is thier custom from thier home country...While I know that it is not, even in the over the top Machismo world of Brazil,,, someone will try and make a case of it. and We should all feel bad that we offended thier native customs... BS... if that is thier defense, attitude or reasoning.. go back to where you came from.. It is not hte custom in this country,, and they should get the death penelity for what they've done. If we executed just one rapist, it might send a message to one person, that would prevent this type of act. And as for the 20+ people that watched and did nothing,,, HUM??? it that a cultural thing also?

While i agree, we, all working perosons have paid into the system. And since I am on the end of that boomer generation, i probably will not see any of what I've paid. But as it was told to me along time ago,, I am paying for the people now, not investing in my future. I'd love nothing better than to have the feds say, "Hey, heres what you've paid in" you'd better invest it so you have something because we're not going to support you. The fact is, more and more people are not or under insured. we tax cigarettes, liquor and what ever else we can get away with, yet it seems that the people who the tax is suppoed to be fore, don't get it. But OMG,,, if we were to actually hint at a flat or VAT tax,,, we're all labeled Socialists. Something has to give, and pretty soon, or we're all goanna get it and take it. AND a point of reference to a couple of comments regarding the Civil war. It was not a war about slaves, but a war about what the state could and could not do.That is wht slavery was pretty much limited to the south, and why Oregon terrietory was a free (non-Slave zone)

Well, since you decided to reply to this article, I should remind all that under Sharia (Islamic religious law) that you should even be allowed to speak on this subject. Along with you even expressing your opinion (which I hope that your husband or male elder, has allowed you to speak), you would also be subject to a minimum of 30 lashes. So, since you are so embracing of these ideals of what should be right and wrong, when would you like to take your punishment? And, since I lived in both the Kingdom of Saud, and other parts of the Arabian Peninsula, I would suggest that you keep your opinions to yourself, or at least not speak them outside of your home. Especially here in an American public forum, you should ask Allah for forgiveness for you blatant sins.

Well, as much as "I'm sorry" says that to those that don't understand. We have to remember. Oregon, washington, Idaho... and for that matter, the Pacific Northwest. We are patriotic. we serve our country, we die fo our country, and MOST of all, we believe in our country. I'm in my late 40's, divorced, X's x. I have several kids, both mine and through marriage. And most of them have finally adopted my views, our views. Or, and this might be a wild and crazy concept, but, we're the establishment now. we're not the MadMen of my generation. We're not the dopers of the 70's. we're not the coked up and partiers of the 80's. And finally, we are not the remorseful ones of the 90's. we thnik, we learn, there for we are. to coin a phrase... Of course i am not sorry. I am only sorry that this forum published the exact address, name and title of the alledged offenders. Like Rodney said back in 1992, "can't we just all get along" that sems like yesterday too me... but for some on this forum, itis a lifetime...

I totally disagree with you about Che. Yes, he was a tyrant. Yes, he murdered, slaughtered 100's if not 1000's of people to push his political views. Yes, he was part of a dictatorship that amazingly enough, has outlasted most other regimes including the great empires of China and USSR intact, without a cultural shakeup, mass purges, or even disillusion. That is why I respect the man. I disagree with his politics, his methods but I respect him. Is just like our forefathers, he had his convictions for the way he wanted his country to be. He fought long and hard to make that happen and succeeded. That is what the USA is about and the fact that we can discuss this openly and without a real fear of reprisal in this country is still amazing even in this day and age after GWB and the rest of them, even with all of our current government’s attitudes towards personal freedoms. I am surprised that the government doesn’t put the owners and management of the complex on some type of watch list. BTW, I did vote for GWB twice and I do regret that now, but at least I had the privilege to vote and speak in this forum and to hear your views along with Dragon09’s..
