All three of our dogs are from a shelter and they are so special! We have a chow/golden retriever who will be 14 in January. She is the most intelligent, intuitive dog I've ever seen! We are at the point now of having to decide how much longer we should let her stay with us. Even on pain pills, getting up and down is painful. I hate to see her suffer. As long as she has her five minutes of fun each evening, I just can't let her got yet. She and I have been through a LOT together! Good luck with your Angel!
