Bullying typically refers to a minority being victimized by the majority. You could argue that since Dan was a speaker and the offended students were in the minority, that they were bullied. However, I think it's a stretch to say that they were being victimized. If name-calling equates to bullying, then our entire political system is made up of bullies. Calling BS on a couple of sections of the Bible is being quite generous to that book if you ask me.

I was sort of giggling at some of the footage - people taking pictures of a broken window display with their phone, then a guy with an SLR camera, then a woman clearly disinterested in the protest just going about her business. A clown beating a car with a balloon, a guy who thought he could just drive through, a reporter seeing red for the first time in the form of red paint... Seattle passive aggressiveness at its best! About the actual aggression though - um could you not be dicks and smash up property? Glad people weren't hurt. Oh, almost forgot - Phoenix Jones made my day!

Just wanted to point out something obvious. The Bible openly advocates stoning gay people to death. Do you agree with that? Or do you choose to not follow it to the letter? If you choose to not abide by that, then you are agreeing with Dan's point.

I'm shocked at the majority of the comments and their relative ratings here. Dan Savage points out some BS in the bible, and now he's a bully? If that is considered bullying, then the term has suffered from overuse and no longer carries value. Last I checked, Dan wasn't telling people that they are evil, that they live in sin, that their sexual attraction is a "lifestyle choice", that they can't marry who they want, or can't live openly. To all the people saying - I have gay friends, and I don't think they're bad people, because the Bible teaches us to love all sinners - how would you feel if you were constantly referred to as a sinner for simply feeling what you naturally feel? You want to hear some real bullying from the pulpit? Here is a pastor advocating beating your kids if they act gay - to cheers from the audience:
