DIVA is an artist-in-residence program, the general purpose of which is to develop the Danish arts scene through the dialogue that arises when foreign artists encounter the Danish milieu. So, by the same token, the Penang arts scene can be developed through encounters with foreign writers. Does 'Fed-up Penangite' not realise that the world is round and that what goes around comes around?
