The Atheist Blogger : Open Letter to the Student's Union

I find it quite confusing that a couple of people have attacked you in the comments for this post =/ Kudos to you for writing that letter. It was very well written. I hope it turns out well and that they do revoke the ban. Keep us updated.

Yeh The Handmaid's Tale is one of my favourites. Amazing book which highlights the role of women in a dystopian, totalitarian society. We had to study it during A-levels and that was one reason I adored English as a subject!Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device

loop-the-loop.net : If a body catch a body coming through the rye.

I think it's an interesting book, based on the preservation of innocence. I love picking out themes in literature and innocence is one theme that really stood out, particularly when Holden was in the hotel room with the prostitute and all he wanted to do was talk. Oh and how uncomfortable he got when thinking about his room mate with the girl who used to play checkers with. I can't say it's my favourite book of all time, but I haven't been this engrossed by reading in a while and I thought it was a good book to get me back into reading! What did you think of it?

loop-the-loop.net : The Importance of Drug Awareness in Aviation

Exactly, I don\\\'t think there is a set time for marijuana to be expelled from your system enough so that it doesn\\\'t affect your ability to operate machinery. We have enough information about alcohol and how long it takes for a person to sober up (hence the 8 hour rule in aviation) whereas with marijuana, I\\\'ve known people who have been out of it for days after ingesting or smoking pot.

They just started randomly saying they felt like 'slapping me up'. I mean, who the hell says that to their girl mates?! Thank you for the compliment on my website. :) I wish I could make the layout, but it's not mine.

I know exactly how you feel. The worst part is, I bought all this stuff when I had a job and income. Although I do enjoy the things I did purchase, I wish I had more money right now :P Thanks for the compliment on the layout! I didn't make it, I suck at making WP layouts!

Sean the Blogonaut : Stop the Australian Vaccination Network

What?! That's ridiculous. My dad went through chemo and radio therapy almost 2 years ago for cancer in his throat. Now he is a lot better, and can actually eat solid food as opposed to having to drink nutrition shakes all the time. I find that utterly despicable that they have the nerve to claim such a thing. :@ Anything to support their backwards viewpoints.

Odd Innuendo : Mini Haitus

My boyfriend and I applied for a rental recently which was also available for sale, another couple got it because they wanted to buy it...which sucks. It was a nice house too. Good luck in getting everything done! I can't imagine how stressful it must be, and I'm not looking forward to being put in a similar situation!

Sean the Blogonaut : Operation Garden Blitz

I don't know too much about the market and house prices...and how it works in accordance to the economic recession and all...but wouldn't that mean now is a slightly bad time to sell if you think about how much you will get for the house? Like I said, I don't know too much about that, so just a question. Since I'm not going to be able to afford a house for a while, this is completely irrelevant to me :'(

Odd Innuendo : Exams, the present and the future.

Hi Rohit, thanks for the luck! I would love to get away with not telling my family about my lack of beliefs, but sadly, I need to in order for my relationship with my partner to progress. My parents have not quite 'cut the umbilical cord' so to speak, so everything I do or say, or even believe seems to affect them. My partner is a non-Muslim, and my mother is quite aware of that (she knows of us of being friends and has spoken to him), so in order for us to come out with our relationship, I have to apostatize. It's also the feeling of taking another burden off my shoulders, since my parents are always nagging me to pray and stuff - when I quite clearly do not want to waste my time doing so. :P
