Well, you can put some strategy back in by modding. Like Wanderer's Edition: You go in guns blazing, you die, at least until you get power armor and huge weapons.

I disagree. Fo2 > Fo3 > FoNV > FO1 imo. That said, I never really got into Fallout 1, maybe I should give it another chance...
