This has to be one of the silliest and most contrived things I've ever seen in Presidential politics. Meanwhile Afghanistan is a quagmire with our boys getting killed at record rates, Iran is about to get nukes, the economy is crumbling, 1 Trillion+ deficit (thanks Obama) - and we have our President playing damage control photo ops at the White House.

The U.S has for years (and don't ask me why the heck we do) invited the Chinese to observe US/multinational military exercises. Of course the Chinese never reciprocate.

How is it of any benefit to the Chinese if they never get paid? The debt they are buying is rapidly becoming worth less and less and soon to be worthless. The sheer staggering amount of US debt is or will have reached "critical mass" very soon and will never be repayable imo. Don't get me wrong - I'm with you on this. But please don't fall into the trap of "both parties are to blame" - at least anywhere near equally. Obama has added more debt in his few months in office than all other past Presidencies COMBINED.

This whole "homegrown" part of the law will not remain for long. This is just a ruse to get the stuff legalized first. Once that happens, homegrown will be ILLEGAL - period. I think a lot of these pro-legalize-it posters have not been around for long. They are way too naive and trusting in government to do what they promise or to not move the goalposts during the game.
