The numeric value in the Hebrew letters are on this blog, at the link provided above. The brief explanation is an excerpt from, "Antichrist" by Archpriest Boris Molchanoff.

This is why this blog exists, because rather than coming to our own understanding and interpretations of any scripture, it is always better to go to the Fathers of the Holy Orthodox Church.

To begin with, where is the reference for the previous statement?

“...failing to consider the facts of history and the current reality?”

So, your understanding exceeds that of the Holy Fathers on the subject (?)

“That a major falling away has already occurred cannot be denied.”

A falling away? Yes. The great falling away written of by the Holy Fathers? No.

The time has yet to come when men will choose the worship of the Antichrist over the worship of the One True God.

You ask what or who is the man of sin, the son of perdition, who has precipitated this falling away?

The answer is not a review of history, rather, the Antichrist is he who will come to deceive as many as possible into believing that he is Christ.

Born of an impure mother, the Antichrist will be an offspring from the tribe of Dan. He will rule from the Temple, claiming to be of the root of David, there he will proclaim himself to be God.

Those who hear him and follow him, will like him, go to perdition.

This has little to do with the history of Rome.

Now, here is a question:

Is the statement above concerning the Antichrist true, or not?

The prevailing teaching here is not about "the last Antichrist" as if making ref. to 2 John 7, but rather to the actual Antichrist, as in the person that the scriptures reference in 2 Thess. 2:4.

BTW, please ref. the following:
"...the last “man of sin and son of perdition,” who will deceive many during the Day of the Lord."

To be honest most of the posts fit rather well, if you ask me. But it wasn't until I clicked:

that I really considered an alternative. So, there we have it, the front page stays, the stories are now single column.

Fixed the 3rd column, IE7 users are just going to have to deal with the large title space for now. But at least in IE7(browser and doc mode) the page can be read. BTW the IE and Opera browsers don't support the CSS3 double columns yet, so as long as there is no margin problems, one column is what you get there.

The filters offered are by: IP, Email, words, etc. You also have the option to moderate a person, blacklist, auto delete or always allow. Besides, most news sites require that you register before commenting. The best reason I can offer our readers for this change is that basically it avoids fly by comments which would other wise not be posted if the user had to take the time to register before commenting. Ask yourself, how many times have you gone to site and found yourself wanting to comment or do something but then decided not to because you had to register. The way I see it, either the user finds that their comment is worth registering over or it's not. I guess that in itself is another filter.
