An exhibit purporting to present history, especially one sponsored by National Geographic, And as self-hating transnational progressivism strongly opposes and heaps opprobrium upon Western civilization, it welcomes such allies as Muslim culture who share some of those attributes - never mind its misogynism, misgovernment and antidemocracy, never mind its oppressive colonial past. Hence National Geographic's eagerness to replace the history of that oppressive colonial past with a fine-art fantasy of oh-so-smart scientific development. Some parts of that may even be true (I don't see any reference by Mr. Adams to astronomy), but NG goes so far out of its way here, extolling the virtues of Islamic culture, you'd think they learned the arts of extravagant praise while working for the Dear Leaders of the Kim dynasty.

National Geographic, in the last 50 years, has drifted in its content from insufferably condescending to insufferable PC propaganda. How a former magazine of inquiry into geographic facts morphed into a trendy organ of transnational progressivism, with elgant photography as the sugar coating to attract readers, is a question for another time, but that change is plain as day. It now devotes itself to perfecting the modern citizen through immersion in all the main PC topics - anticolonialism, environmental fundamentalism, multiculturalism, collectivism and anticapitalism.

Good for Overman - he's acting like a real journalist, and I hope his assailants are identified and properly dealt with. But how about those 'journalists' at the New York Times and Washington Post who are enlisting a whole Lincoln Brigade of 'volunteer' muckrakers to root through Governor Palin's emails for the purpose of digging up, or insinuating, or inventing scandals to use against her - whether or not she's running for office? Seems like journalists like double standards. They did no such research on the educational record, or the personal associates, or political activism of the 'community organizer' Obama, when he actually ran for President. And it's a travesty of journalism for the NYT and WaPo to act as the opposition research bureau for the Democrat Party.

In other words, lefties, if your fat cats and opinionators must be protected against public knowlege, everyone else's donors and opinionators must be as well.

That's pretty clear testimony, and Attorney General Holder has a lot of explaining to do - if he doesn't want to be remembered in history as the head of Obama's Injustice Department. And the MSM, well, we'll put up a statue honoring them, in the shape of the Three Wise Monkeys. See no evil, hear no evil, broadcast no evil of thugs, as long as they're 'minorities'. Obama's cronies may well feel invulnerable under the current setup. Perhaps, in the short term. But how quickly they forget that all the civil rights legislation that transformed this country after WW II was enacted, not by minorities, but by a substantial majority of the country, which strongly believed in 'equal justice before the law'. That majority still exists (though it isn't well represented in university and media circles), and still believes in equal justice. This story will not go away, nor will those believers in equal justice. Those who stray too far from the 'equal justice' concept will shortly find themselves being held to account, by judges at least as righteous as Mr. Gaziano.
