I don't care about using it on other CDMA carriers (that would require flashing the device). Mainly asking for resale value on the phone not so much cuz i want to use it on other carriers. so if a cdma phone can not be unlocked except by it's original carrier there's no need for me to worry about my baseband right? also what prevents the device from being software unlocked? if sprint has the ability to unlock it why wouldn't a developer be able to find a way to do it? Every time a purchase is requested the account holder is asked for their iTunes account password. The only time this could happen is if the password had been entered in the last 3 minutes. After 3 minutes the password save times out and requires it again. Like @jLemie said, my 3 kids play with my iPhone, iPod & iPad all the time and this has never happened. It's also wise to use a difficult to guess password. If you used your dog's name the kids probably figured it out and again it's your own fault. Also blaming devs is outrageous. The parents should know what kind of games they're allowing their children to play, which includes checking if the game has in-app purchases enabled.
