The trained seals in Congress welcomed Netnayahu because they are, well, trained seals. They know that AIPAC keeps tabs on who is there and who isn't. They know who jumps up and down like a trained seal and who doesn't. At least 50 members of the Congress refused to attend the speech of the man who in 1992 as a member of the Knesset said that without a doubt Iran was no more than 3 to 5 years away from having a nuclear weapon. This is the same man who in 2002 told a Congressional committee that beyond a shadow of a doubt Iraq was developing nuclear weapons and that his regime must be removed. He further told the committee that once the regime in Iraq was removed, the regime in Iran would implode. Was this really a man to be trusted? Was this really a man who deserved the up and down movements of the Congress? Of course not.

Many of the people in the chamber were guests of members of the Congress who had been given tickets to hand out. Only those who were supporters of Netanyahu were likely to go to the event.

So Peng Pang can everyone assume that the most important thing in America to you be Israel? Nothing else matters. Not the economy, not human rights, not the homeless, not the crumbling infrastructure, not the vast gap in income equality, not the environment and global warming. Only Israel is important.

I find that to be incredibly sad.

Netanyahu is not exactly a truth teller. In 1992 as a member of the Knesset he said that he had good information that Iran was no more than 3 to 5 years away from having a nuclear weapon. That was 23 years ago.

Two years later Netanyahu, as the leader of the opposition in the Knesset, was speaking at a anti-Rabin rally to which a protester carried a coffin that was said was meant for Rabin. Another protester carried a noose.

It was not long after one of those hate rallies that Rabin was assassinated. Members of the Rabin family still believe that the speeches of Netanyahu contributed to the hate and eventual assassination of the one man who could have brought peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

How sad that so many members of our Congress will demean themselves by going to hear this proven liar and hate monger.

I don't always complement the ADL but in this case, good for them.

This man is an idiot and needs to study history if he thinks that the US is anything like Nazi Germany. How sad that someone who supposedly is educated has to stoop so low as has Carson.

Rueven Rivlin said that Israel is "a sick society." He is absolutely right and will be even more so if and when these racist bills pass.

Maybe they can say they are Jewish and trying to make aliyah. That would be a smart move because unless you are Jewish Israel doesn't want you.

How many of the countries that you name pretend, like Israel, to be a democracy? The answer is none. I guess Israel wants to join the rest of the Middle East.

When you oppress and brutalize a people for over 47 years you can't expect them to love you. When you demolish many thousands of their homes and deny them permits to build you can't expect them to love you. When you imprison and torture thousands of their people who can't expect them to love you. When you raid and ransack their homes you can't expect them to love you When you shoot and kill them, including their children, you can't expect them to love you. When you destroy hundreds of thousands of their olive and fruit trees, the basis of their economy, you can't expect them to love you. When you build more and more illegal settlements that spread like a virulent cancer you can't expect them to love you. When some of those settlements deliberately send their sewage down into the Palestinian villages and agricultural land below you can't exprct them to love you. When vile settlers throw rocks at Palestinian kids on their way to school you can't expect them to love you. When the IDF protects settlers who are attacking Palestinian farmers and then beat and sometimes arrest the farmers you can't expect them to love you. When you brutalize the people whose land you took in 1948 forcing many of them out or into the West Bank you can't expect them to love you.

Were all this and more being done to the Jews would you love those you did this to you? I think not.

I find that the arrogance and the chutzpah of some who believe that Israel can do whatever it wants without being condemned for what it does is beyond the pale. It is time for all of you who excuse israeli crimes to understand that the Palestinians were not responsible for the pogroms or for the Holocaust but they have also paid a high price as they became the victims of victims and those victims are still victimizing them. But now the Jewish victims have become Goliath while the victimized Palestinians have become David.

This man is no different than a Nazi.

When the European Jews began to come to Palestine they treated the Arabs horribly. Asher Ginsberg, also known as Ahad Ha'am wrote the following about the Jewish settlers after one of his many trips to Palesitne in the early 1900s.

"They deal with the Arabs with hostility and cruelty, trespass unjustly, beat them shamefully for no sufficient reason, and even boast about their actions. There is no one to stop the flood and put an end to this despicable and dangerous tendency. Our brothers indeed were right when they said that the Arab only respects he who exhibits bravery and courage. But when these people feel that the law is on their rival's side and, even more so, if they are right to think their rival's actions are unjust and oppressive, then, even if they are silent and endlessly reserved, they keep their anger in their hearts. And these people will be revengeful like no other."

From the beginning it was obvious that the incoming Jews had no regard for the people whose land they were bent on taking so why would they expect those people to have any regard for them.

This rabid rabbi seems not to understand that it was not the Palestinians who were behind the pogroms in Europe that caused a group of Zionists to decide that the Jews had to have a homeland and that the homeland had to be in Palestine where they had every intention of taking all the land. Before the start of the Zionist project Jews, Christians and Muslims lived together in harmony at a time when Jews were being persecuted in Europe.

That harmony ended when the Jews made clear that they would claim all of Palestine for themselves without regard for the people who had lived on the land for many generations. There was no hatred of Jews by the Arabs of Palestine before the start of the Zionist project. There was no radical Islam in Palestine. The Palestinian Muslims were among the most secular of the Muslims. Zionism and the greed for land by the Jews destroyed all that.

This rabbi should be kicked out of his congregation and be sent packing.
