Voting is just putting your stamp of approval on our corrupt system. When enough people decide not to vote for this jury rigged election system the powers will start to fear us and the coming revolution. The empire is crumbling!

Another great comment which speaks for a whole hell of a lot of us. Meanwhile a man suffers the best years of his life robbed from him by our government officials. Now we are beginning to feel the helplessness many "good" Germans must have felt.
It certainly is a sad state of affairs. The BIG ? is what are we going to do about it? Julian was just pointing out the horrors being committed in our names, with our tax dollars and, seemingly, with our permission. We Americans seem to be a cowardly lot!
You summed it up as well as it could be. At 75 and a former pilot in the USAF, I am thoroughly ashamed to call myself an American. Something must be done to secure the release of Julian Assange. What the hell has happened to us that we have allowed people to be tortured in our name! The whole world knows that the British government is a mere puppet of the US State. Julian is being imprisoned and tortured at the direction of the US Government. Yes, our nation is, and has been, run for many years by a government filled with war criminals!
At a time when the world needs peace in order to work together to combat human caused climate change the West (I am a US citizen) is intent on restarting the Cold War in order to continue with its budget busting so-called "defense" spending. Why? Why, I ask. Because that is the main industry of the USA; and, it feeds more wealth to the plutocrats who own our government officials and control America's political "Revolving Door".
I tried to make it clear that it was both gov't's, British and US, that are guilty of all the crimes that are being perpetrated on Mr. Assange. However, we the people, are sitting idly by while that torture of Julian takes place in our names. It will come home to haunt us, not just emotionally, but also, physically.

Wjen "we" allow injustice to happen to one, that injustice certainly has the opportunity to come home to any one of us! The persecution and torture of Julian Assange by the British acting as US puppets is disgusting and represents the true nature of both governments.
