I know this family and i am wondering how this mother is going on knowing that nobody listened and no one cared how her and her other kids felt about these dogs. That everyday she wasn't thought of enough to be heard, Her precious little girl was killed by these dogs, who she was told a week before, theyll never hurt anyone. After chasing a cat and yhere little puppy. The mother ex[lained to me the dogs and i saw her fear. but that kennell was to be secure. she trustred. them to make sure. her daughter and others would be safe.. What happened that sad day willnenver be known. I pray for the mother to find it in her heart not to hate. Iowa law does state the the owner ot the dog is responible for any and all of the animals actions at all times. Even if the ownwer is out of the state. He is still directly responsible for any injuries or death caused by his animal. And the Owner, should ne help partially accountable for death of this child. He raised these dogs from puppies, it is not the grandfather either,The owner of these dogs is the brother of the childs father. No one ever got that right. The mother obviously wasnt doing anything wrong because according to what i know unless its proven drug charges never get dismissed. This child was not neglected. She never came and went all the time. The yard is visible from angle from the kitchen in this home. It was a fenced in backyard and this beutiful child was very well behaved and knew the rules.And on that particular day the weather was mild. she had a coat hat and mittens on when the attaacked occured. There were others in and out of the as well that day including the great grandmother, mother father and grandfather. There was no reason the believe something so horrific like this would happen. And the child was found on the deck. Dhe probably had not a chance. THe mother tried to keep the dogs from coming to the nome buut she lost in more was than you can imagine. I heard she tried her hardest to keep them away from the home. But she lost in more ways then one. The mother was also told that those dogs would never hurt anyone. She argued then too! She knew what kind of dogs they were. And not only that these were dogs meant for breeding and not pets. she also trusted the kennel was secure so they were not able to get out. The father was caught in the middle of his family and it was easier to tell mother no it is what they want. There was absolutely no neglect in this situation.
