The big letters that make up the title are shown close-up, and the the title zooms out to reveal 'the terminator'. 2.Adam laughs funny and says 'snap, snap' like no other podcaster I know. 3. The whole 'melting-the-terminator-and-then-freezing-it' scene is a clear reference to Terminator 2, but in reverse. In T2, the T-100 was frozen, then tossed into the molten lava. 4. They're remaking Buffy the Vampire Slayer?!
