There also is a lot of divots in the road as they have sanded off the original center lines and fog lines. If you are not paying close attention it will pull on your wheel when you pass this small area. I was stuck for a while this morning while they were cleaning it up and am thankful no one got hurt. I worry about people getting pushed off the road into the river on this stretch as you are right along there. Amazing he escaped with no injury. First thing I noticed was the gas tank several hundred feet away from where the truck actually was, and this was 2 hours after the accident. Not sure the correct word for them. I have put them on all doors leading outside. I live at the end of a dead end street that is very kid friendly, but that's all it took, one time when she was 18 months old. I walked to the other side of the house while she was playing in the living room, and I live in a small house. As we all see, it takes less than 30 seconds to lose a child whether being hit by a car, an abductor, or some body of water. Trucks are raised up to such ridiculous heights now that maybe he truly didn't see the child run out. I drive a van and if a child were to walk behind my van, I could not see. You would think they would feel a bump, but maybe they thought it was the curb. Again, I am NOT in anyway trying to say this person is not at fault, but before saying some horrible things about a person, think about the big trucks with tires taller than most kids. But I have to ask the same things as others....where was the parent? I have a 2 year old that does not walk on the sidewalk or in a parking lot without holding my hand.
