When we read about this sort of reckless, aggressive driving, little wonder that pedestrians and bicyclists are nowadays very afraid for their lives in our city.

Pedestrians and bicyclists have changed little over the last 10-15 years, but cars and their drivers have undergone an amazing change: much more powerful cars with drivers who are angry and often distracted by their phones or other electronic devices. My heartfelt prayers go to to the parents of this innocent little girl.

The way the article reads, it is not unreasonable to blame the driver. Read it. Weaving in and out, at high speed? Blame the writers of the article or the witnesses. But the way the article reads now, the driver is not being given a reason for driving that way - and what if a pedestrian or cyclist or other car occupants were killed? I agree that waiting for the facts to come out is best.
