no, but any wild animal, when frightened can turn aggressive. that's why it's called flight or FIGHT syndrome. if the raccoons were frightened enough, and felt the need to protect themselves or their babies, they most certainly WILL attack!

bad things happen to good people. it's horrible, but that's how life works. these parents obviously taught their son well, so they didn't HAVE to be there 24/7.
