For me it is just like hoping statement and trust dev team know how the technology run it . Well done!! :) Dear Sherif, I think it is because of the radio cell at your area perform the update. That is normal behaviour for all network provider. It depend on network provider how they design an configure it to do a location update. The problem is on iphone itself. This BB processing look likes confusing or apple was design like that to prevent their product. After 2,3 day make some testing, then i observed 3G iphone(FW 2.2.1, 2.30.03 BB) behaviour running on piggy SIM: 1. Instability in 3G band. - When location update - it was intermittent - error no sim or no service occured. To solve it, no need to put SIM to another phone. What i am do is pull out sim and piggy sim, make sure iphone running in 3G mode, then put back both sim. Wait a 2,3 minutes, then 3G network is working. If still not, try running in flight mode or switch off 3G mode. Do it 2,3 times, then your 3G network back to normal. - It happen because of the BB or Piggysim chip itself. My expectation is because of the BB. There is something wrong with the BB processing to recognize the network during location update. It take some time to established the context compare to 2G or EDGE. - During browsing on 3G band, i notice incoming call is always failed. Seem like, this BB is unable to handle or blocked it when data and voice call occurs in one time. Question: Anybody know, when i running 2G/EDGE why we cannot access to internet? I did test using soft unlock (FW 2.2 BB 2.28) is not working also. I could not understand this, it suppose can be work while the phone running on 2G/EDGE. Only the speed is different. It always happen when location update, sometime it work but sometime is not, then have to wait few hour. It is mess, every time have to swap sim to other phone then put it back to iphone. Do you know why this happen? It is because of iphone BB or operator HLR? I guess local operator HLR has monitor the PUK number for the piggy SIM, when location update happen that system was block PUK piggy sim and not allowed me to use their network. I bought iphone 3g from Sydney, version 2.2 BB 2.28. I able to unlock using yellowsnOw. Then 2 days ago, with a less knowledge about the device, i have used itunes to update latest version. It was upgraded version 2.2.1 with BB 2.30.3,then iphone automatically locked again. I susccesful downgrade version 2.2 but BB still same. I search from google to get an info how to unlock 2.2.1m BB 2.30.2, unfortunately there is no way to do that at the moment. Then, I buy turbo sim to resolve that issue but is not 100%. I notice incoming call failure when iphone running in 3g network and not able to use all data call function at all. To allow incoming call, i have to turn off 3g and data roaming. Stability of signal also not really good and always drop. Turbo sim is not 100% work as before i used soft unlock. My question: 1. Is there any possibility yellowSnOw able to produce solution to work with BB 2.30.3?Approximately? 2. What is the way if i want to do factory unlock? Should i bring this phone to apple service center? Any advice? 3. Why Apple make these biz model? I am sure if Apple sell all unlock phone, half of mobile user around the world will buy iphone. This device is very cool but it become stupid because most of iphone in market is locked version and engaged with certain operator. For me this biz model is CRAP! I really frustrated on the situation because of my stupid mistake. I couldnt sleep well till today because my mind always thinking about iphone problem. I really enjoy and love it so much this phone. But now, after i do update from itunes, this phone is useless and crap!. If yellowSnOw unable to crack BB 2.30.3 please let me know, so i can plan to sell it with cheap price or throw it into dustbin.
