But, at the same time, I'm hoping that Snyder isn't just doing a (visually stunning) exact play-by-play of GN without any emotionality or connectivity. The reason why Watchmen is as highly regarded as it is, is because it's a social commentary. He needs to be able to show those raw, emotional qualities that the graphic novel did so well. I'm happy that Snyder was so faithful to the source material (minus the ending, which was rightfully changed) but I'm hoping that it succeeds as a movie as well. That being said, I cannot wait for March 6th.
