A pal recently also had a "herpes?" freakout and it turned out to be mollescum, which is common (partly because really easy to transmit) but nbd and easily treatable. (not just an STI, babies get it too!)
as always, bodies are an unfolding nightmare
good luck!

Realized that I almost exclusively fuck/medium-term-attract extremely extroverted hot dudes* because they're the only ones with the confidence to try, since my intimacy issues/general terror make me come off like a vicious ice queen. I'm also currently kind of a bad bitch professionally and artistically, which I think gives the impression I would be more aggressive/forward if I was interested, which is not remotely true.

I would like to date different kinds of babes with less extreme temperaments, but I'd have to take the wheel more and I seem just totally unable to do so. My current strategy (i.e. waiting around) is definitely not working for me, though.

*I basically don't fuck or medium-term attract anyone so this is not as appealing a situation as it may sound

I am famous at work for my dedication to mason jar salads. These are the two I eat alllll the time (I have a dairy allergy but you could definitely cheese 'em up), from bottom to top:
- raspberry vinagrette + quinoa + walnuts + dried mango* + whatever greens (spinach/chard/kale/spring mix, WHO KNOWS)
- honey dijon dressing (lemon tahini also great here) + spelt + pumpkin seeds + grated/shaved carrot + whatever greens
*also great with dried apricot but that shit's way more expensive

I started a Bullet Journal in October and it has definitely helped me become much more organized/accomplish stuff. One thing I'd recommend is setting up a longer-term goals section, broken up however you want (6 more months? a year? who knows!) - the 6-month view it gives you for long-term goals comes up a little short on its own.
Also, don't worry if yours looks like garbage and not the beautiful colour-coded versions people with gorgeous penmanship post pictures of online. I can't draw and have serial-killer handwriting and mine still works.
My only is using it heavily as a point-form journal, but I haven't been successful keeping a regular journal and I do really value that function - it's just burying the administrative stuff a bit.

this is hella easy to make (I use almond milk with no ill results) and will feed you, deliciously, for at least 4 mornings.

I'm a Chicago Blackhawks fan so this offseason's been great and I'm very excited and the logo's definitely not kind of embarrassing
(I also work in sports news, so I frequently get to edit updates to the Kane case/correct the accidental bias of my male coworkers' coverage, on top of all the other domestic violence and sexual assault news I get to process with dudes who won't learn U.S. law's distinction between sexual assault and rape and have to ask me every time)

I loved Thrown enough to buy my own copy (post-library) but it is weird and definitely has its problems. I am excited for you to return to discuss it!

Pretty exciting times for me: I got promoted to full-time with benefits at work yesterday after 8 months of 32-hour weeks. I'm 31, have two degrees, and this is my first full-time offer, so it's due. Also, I've been CRUSHING IT the whole time and it's satisfying to have that recognized. (Though I don't know what my salary offer is yet and am nervous about possibly having to negotiate it.) I was pretty nervous about my career prospects there after our department boss was suddenly fired a couple weeks ago.

I also have a couple of poems coming out in a lit journal next week (that I even got paid [an honorarium] for). I stopped writing for about six years and this is going to be my first publishing credit this decade, so it's a pretty big deal for me.

Bonus: there are several blooming magnolia trees on my bike commute, so when I have to bike into the wind, sometimes it smells incredible.
