We should look inward and hold ourselves to principles and values, and when we can do that (to the best of our ability) we should hold our leaders to principles and values. It was Samuel Adams who said, "But neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of his country who tries most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man."

As bleak as things may seem, never stop believing.

"America is great because America is good." Now we're on to something. It was Benjamin Franklin that said, "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." I'm reminded of another quote, "Sometimes the things that may or may not be true, are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good. That Honor, Courage, and Virtue mean everything. That power and money mean nothing. That good always triumphs over evil. Love...true love never dies. No matter if it's true or not a man should believe in those things because those are the things worth believing in." It is so easy to look around and be discouraged. How many times have you said, "What's this world coming to?" Call me an optimist, call me a simpleton, or just call me crazy. I still believe that people are basically good. That Honor, Courage, and Virtue mean everything. As the people of this republic we should believe these things because these are the things worth believing in.

America is Good.

America is and always be a great country.
Our constitution makes it great.
Our freedom makes it great.
Above all, Our people make it great.
Americans make it great....you make it great.

I want to hear from you.

We need leaders that when elected or appointed will not have to worry about whether they paid their taxes.

We need leaders that will not anger the population over millions to the point that they threaten the lives of law biding citizens in hopes no one sees the billions they are wasting.

We need men and women with integrity that will do what is right....for us.....for America.
