The Barkman : What the *#^% has happened to The Wiire?

Holy fricken' cow. I almost had a heart attack. Alright, recovery over. To Do list: 1) Take Wiire off of homepage. 2) Put Joystiq as homepage. 3) Join Twitter, and follow everybody mentioned before-James, Mike, Andrew, Scott, PictoCast, etc. 4) Ask what all of your blogs are, if applicable. So, number 3 may not get done for a few minutes, but #4 is going right here-What are all of y'all's blogs? Yes, I just typed an epic two apostrophe word. And it is kinda sad to see the Wiire essentially die. But if PictoCast continues-only in podcast form, mind you- I will be content. I am in the small crowd that likes Mike and Scott and Andrew-all of the "noobs-that-don't-fulfill-Rob's-and-James'-places". James, I like you, too, but everybody does. The others have had a lot less love. EDIT: If you can't tell by now, I like long comments. YAY!

Alright, this may be a long post. Jus' sayin'. First, let's get the fanboy-ness out first. I less than three the Wiire, its podcast, this blog, and PictoCast. I check up on all three every single day-that I get on this computer or my iPod touch. Now, I understand the need to gouge your eyes out and cut off your ears in response to what thousands of people call their daily work at video game companies. (Wait-you didn't say that. Oh well). The games industry is very similar to politics-but it actually gives some people what they want. Imma still follow you through this blog and PictoCast, assuming it still goes on. All 30-40 people that actually read this will understand. Don't worry. You will be missed from the Wiire, I must say. Happy undisclosed new venture into...the outer edges of the gaming industry, and still keep gaming. It's fun.

Anybody else find it pretty... awesome/cool/odd that Nintendo consoles had 13 of the top 20 spots here? And the fact that the 360 is... nowhere to be seen.

I was never expecting a price cut. I think this is a nice gift for people to buy their new Wiis, and a response to the higher powered consoles competing in price with the Wii. Only the casual gamers would choose a Wii over a 360 or a ps3 for the same price.

When I first heard that they experimented with motion and took it out, ?'s appeared over my head. Now, there are !'s. It would be so cool to maybe attack certain body parts/areas with MotionPlus.

The Wiire : How YOU Would Change The Wii

Nope. The question was how you would change it-NOW. Not how it would have started, but maybe for a WiiHD (or a Wiiii-for James [Episode 49 or so]). Bringing the WiiHD in 1-2 years after launch would have printed tons more money.

If anything, I would get the $50 WSR since I got the Tiger Woods bundle and only have 2 remotes. Good marketing by Ninty... if a regular game is $50, you'll get 2 MPs for 25% of the cost. Cool.

The Wiire : The Wiire Podcast 147

I think I would be good friends with Ian. I love golf, and just came back Monday night from Pebble Beach, CA (I live in Tidewater, VA, East coast). I caddied for one of my friends in a Pro/Am/Junior tournament, and got to walk Pebble Beach twice. The videogame does a pretty good job of representing it; it helped to play the course frequently. EDIT: After playing it again for detail, some holes are actually partly inaccurate.
