There is a reason I have always favored the KOMO site over the other news sites (KIRO, KING etc.....), and you pretty much got rid of every reason I had. You look just like every other horrible, hard to find stuff, too busy, hard on the eyes...news site out there. Way to go KOMO....now you suck just as bad as the rest, way to keep up with the Jones'es. Clear enough for you???

KOMO - Seattle, WA : U.S. swine flu toll: 4,000 deaths, 22 million sickened in 6 months | KOMO News - Breaking News, Spo

3 week old data.....and notice that they only count lab confirmed cases, of which almost nobody is doing anymore. They pretty much know that everything is H1N1 right now, so they pretty much completely stopped testing....making that number falsely low. And in case you hadn't noticed, the WHO and our CDC have not seen eye to eye on this whole outbreak, so it doesn't surprise me that their numbers are completely different.

Interesting to break down these numbers....even knowing that they are very "best guess estimates" since they aren't even testing anymore. Approximate population of US ~300,000,000 Infection rate SO FAR ~22,000,000 equals about 7.3% of our Population CDC early on estimated that 30-50% of our population would likely be infected.....All that says to me is that we have a LONGGGG way to go with this Virus!!! If the death-rate holds true, and we say that eventually 33% of the US gets infected, the total deaths extrapolate out to around 19,000. Less than in a normal flu season, but remember that in a "normal" flu season it is mostly the frail and elderly who make up the large percentage of deaths. This H1N1 is very striking in that the death rate among children is significant, which is frightening to most people. All I'm saying people is let's not just brush this off as a conspiracy to sell more vaccine. That's just ignorant.....This is real, and scary to a vast majority of the population to see healthy kids die with this virus.
