They pretty much know that everything is H1N1 right now, so they pretty much completely stopped testing....making that number falsely low. And in case you hadn't noticed, the WHO and our CDC have not seen eye to eye on this whole outbreak, so it doesn't surprise me that their numbers are completely different. Approximate population of US ~300,000,000 Infection rate SO FAR ~22,000,000 equals about 7.3% of our Population CDC early on estimated that 30-50% of our population would likely be infected.....All that says to me is that we have a LONGGGG way to go with this Virus!!! If the death-rate holds true, and we say that eventually 33% of the US gets infected, the total deaths extrapolate out to around 19,000. Less than in a normal flu season, but remember that in a "normal" flu season it is mostly the frail and elderly who make up the large percentage of deaths. This H1N1 is very striking in that the death rate among children is significant, which is frightening to most people. All I'm saying people is let's not just brush this off as a conspiracy to sell more vaccine. That's just ignorant.....This is real, and scary to a vast majority of the population to see healthy kids die with this virus.
