It's seditious and treason against the UK for foreign nationals to be doing this.
They will vote labour as it's the most liberal and pro-immigration party of the lot!
It's like an army that requires constant reinforcements the troops will want to see generals that are most likely to let them invade the land unopposed...

When you open your door to the police you are 'dropping the drawbridge' and raising the portcullis to them being allowed inside.

The old man made the mistake of opening his door to the police when there was no requirement unless they have a search warrant signed by a magistrate.

At any time you open your door to the police it is seen as an 'invitation' and can mean you are letting them inside.
It goes back to the days of castles and tower-houses.
