Um, I won't be buying/reading/listening to anything by Michael Savage after he claimed that children with autism are just brats with parents who can't control them. As a parent of a 6 year old autistic boy, I lost respect for his opinion right there. For being such an 'intelligent' man, as you claim, he would do well to educate himself and maybe even familiarize himself by actually meeting some autistic children before he makes such an outrageous blanket claim.
A hundred million is a drop in the bucket. To the average listener, 100 million sounds bigger than, say, 8 Trillion because people only focus on the number, not the modifier (100 vs. 8, not million vs. trillion). I'd say we're a long way from patting ourselves on the back for anything.

Just finished Anthem by Ayn Rand. It talks about the idea of 'collectivism' trumping the individual. The basis is that everyone lives and exists for the good of the whole. It was a little scary to see the parallels to liberalism.

My son's godfather is a priest. He recently told us that he's heard a ton of confessions from people regretting their vote for Barack Obama (don't worry, it was a general comment, no confidentialities were breached!). I thought it was interesting, though. Not even 100 days and buyers remorse already setting in.
You're right about staying in Wa D.C. to learn the facts he needs to do his job better. Have you watched Robert Gibbs? That guy gets in front of the white house press corps every day and stammer and stutters his way through a 'news conference'. Half the time, he doesn't even know the answer to the question asked. Perhaps if his boss, being Obama, were in town more often, Gibbs might be more in the loop.
Watch Sean Hannity deride Gibbs every night on FOX. It's a hoot!
I live in OH, which used to be a red state, but sadly turned blue for the last election. It's amazing to me how many smart, educated people have been totally taken in by Obama and his crazy plans. I scratch my head in amazement every time they defend him. All of these people are college educated and suffer from this delusion that we hard working people are responsible for all the welfare people out there. I'm all for helping people in need if they're willing to help themselves. I, don't, however, feel a compelling need to provide cable tv, cell phones, cars, etc...to able bodied people who choose not to work.
