The DNR has never denied their existance, only denied accusations that they stocked them. There have been a few mountain lions in this state hit by cars or shot in the last 5 years, so it would be kind of hard for them to deny their existance. Although about 95% of the reported sightings are false. Lets face it, if you think your looking at a mountain lion, even if it's not, your mind will believe it.

I think they are better off taken out of the population before someone gets hurt. Ask any of the deer hunters up north what the repopulation of wolves have done to their deer populations. Totally destroyed them.
