Yeah, and in-room burr grinders too! That would be great, and another item for my kids to toss around and get charged to the room ;)

No problem Devon, nice to hear that it gave you some good ideas :) I'm always looking for ways to improve everyone's coffee experiences....and my own! These last 9 nights in a hotel have inspired me to do this post!

I do love my Planetary Design Mug It has a cup in the bottom to store another cup's worth of grounds for a quick refill. Just bum some hot water in a restaurant! Their customer service is great as well!

CoffeeNate.com : CoffeeNate #32 :: Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee

It's very interesting how coffee that is grown in different areas of the world, possesses unique flavors and scents. It is similar to wine tasting. There are subtle differences in coffee flavors in relation to where they are grown, the roasting method, the degree of roasting, and the freshness of the coffee.

I agree Blanche! I use the travel french press http://bit.ly/bUMysQ at my work place. I'm the only coffee drinker in my area and I can make fresh brewed coffee whenever I want :) There is a link in the post as well, but this one will work just fine too http://bit.ly/bUMysQ I'm not a fan of the Keurig. Although I do prefer it to the normal autodrip, I think people are drawn to the dummy-proofness as they won't use too little coffee and it won't be exposed to oxygen for long periods of time. These are two things that casual coffee drinkers get wrong very frequently, storage and measure. You can get a basket to put your own fresh ground coffee in your Keurig.

CoffeeNate.com : CoffeeNate #32 :: Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee

Hi Mike and welcome to my site :) Yes, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is more expensive than common origins, but that is why...it's not common! When you figure how much people spend on burnt coffee everyday (read Starbucks) then it is really affordable, especially when you consider that only %.02 of the coffee supply is JBM! I don't think everyone should drink the stuff daily, but I think it is worth purchasing for the experience. Thanks for dropping by!

CoffeeNate.com : CoffeeNate #29 :: How to Decode Coffee Labels

Thank you for that insight Banks! I agree that you can do better independently than Fair Trade, but it is up to the consumer to investigate the company, and that is not very easy to do. If a company, such as your own, with a long tradition of championing sustainable coffee, enters into a direct trade relationship outside of Fairtrade, then I think it is easier to buy into it as a consumer. I think it's important for the roaster to be transparent. I like what Green Mountain does for example. For each coffee they sell, there are details about the origins of the coffee, and the COOP/farm it was purchased from. It gives the consumer some insight into where this product originated from, and makes their purchasing transparent. Thank you again for your comments! :)

I think it's inevitable, you will evolve into a coffee snob eventually! Maybe more like 'Coffee Snob Lite'? You can appreciate a great cup, know why it's great, but still sip some robusta nastiness if need be! Hey, if there is nothing else available, why not? A bad cup just makes you more appreciative of an excellent one!

Thanks Blanche :) It makes me happy to hear you say that (or should it be 'read you write that)! I can appreciate where you are coming from, but at the same time I think I try to put too much info into one video. I think if I have more focused, specialized videos, then it will be easier for viewers to implement, while being more convenient to watch in it's entirety. We can always go deeper into a topic, whether it's the following week, or in the comment section. I will keep your comment in mind though, and I truly appreciate you sharing your opinion! Take care :)

NO! They should've been fired on the spot! Intelligensia is too big of a name to have employees who don't know English working there. I hear Starbucks is hiring though ;)
