The Democrats are fighting this. Why not? Obama "promised" this during the campaign. One of MANY promises he has failed on.
Obama has really made a lot of changes in D.C. In 2010, we need to vote all new people into office. The Democrats are going to destroy D.C. What happened to Obama's transparency? Thanks Dems for putting this bill smack dab in the middle of a military bill.
North Carolina is the highest taxed state in the Southeast. The Democrats who have controlled Raleigh forever have driven out the desire to come to N.C. Why would Dell want to stay???? We will NEVER get jobs as long as Bev Perdue is governor and the Democrats controll Raleigh. North Carolina is not business friendly

dumping more money is not the answer to any of our education problems. most of the bad school/education issues stem from the dysfunctional famiy life of Americans....and this dysfunctional life is becoming the norm. so dumping money into a school won't help.
it is obvious what is going on here. it is kinda surprising that some type of legal action by North parents has not taken place. it really does violate some of the pre-desegregation legal cases.equality among schools within a system. you are right. the current school board only worries about reelection. new bold blood is needed on the board. remember this next election time. also, where has the stimulus money gone that was given to schools? where did Rowan School spend its money. last note, one more meaningless study costing $40000 down the drain. This money = one teacher job.

I think more parents will start choosing other options than public schools. Rowan County doesn't really have a large selection of private schools. The Democratic government is going to make our schools worse.
Here you got a local business....probably trying to make it hard times and the FREAKIN government---once again---has to try to get involved. Yea..like everyone else is saying...you are being called names and made to do such bad things and you work there for 3 years. It is only going to get worse with the Democrats in charge.
After the director of United Way in Charlotte was such a crook, I will NEVER give them another dime!!!! I wish they would stop pressuring businesses to participate.
