It's a parents responsibility to guide, teach, and protect their children - these parents whether they desired fame or lacked of femperment necessary to deny their child the ability to carry out this reckless and foolhardy endeaver should be condemned. I hope for the safe return of this child but if she is recovered safely the parental rights of these people should be revoked and the girl put in protective custody. If the girl is lost or has died from exposure then the parents should be charged with manslaughter, wanton neglect, and whatever else is applicable.
