Fasciation is quite interesting. If you look under the flower the stem is usually flattened and as if several are fused side by side in a ribbon like structure. It sometimes affects the phyllotaxy on the stems, too.

Hello
I so love this post. The gerbera daisy were my nieces favorite flower in the whole world. She passed away 4 weeks ago, and everytime I see a gerbera daisy it makes me smile. Thank you for this smile today and for sharing with me.

You did a beautiful job photographing the beauty of this flower. The petals are just gorgeous.

The measures promoted by the global warmists, including the Economist, are hardly futile when you study carefully what the "lead experts" of the IPCC clearly outline in their writings. NB, I am a mathematical modeler who has to wade through their books and other academic output, in addition to their pigs-might-fly projections. One of those experts writes that:
"...."Government in the future will be based upon [...] a supreme office of the biosphere. The office will comprise specially trained philosopher/ecologists. These guardians will either rule themselves or advise an authoritarian government of policies based on their ecological training and philosophical sensitivities. These guardians will be specially trained for the task."...." https://greenhouseeffect.home.blog/2019/06/26/cli...
Now you see the apparent futility of the proposed measures does in fact make perfect sense - read their plan, they spell out their totalitarian vision clearly. Even the old communists were more circumspect.
