You seem totally incapable of nuance.
You banged on for months the only mandated Brexit excluded no deal, now you're dancing on the head of a pin about Cummings. On both occasions you give succour to people who would do the Tories & Brexit harm. Why? Let go the concrete thinking.

We have a better appreciation of our own back yard & wit attitudinal surveys showing significant levels of support amongst UK Muslims-our own neighbours- for all sorts "unprogressive" policies, regarding Jews, gays, Sharia etc. wariness doesn't seem unreasonable.
Listen Maajid Nawaz after pc Palmer, the number people phoning to criticise him for accepting there is a problem in the UK Muslim community was scary, one even suggested he was an apostate with all that implies.

You sound like you're going to end up like one of those Japanese holdouts fighting WW2 decades after it's ended.
They were deranged rather than dedicated, and ultimately used as a tourist attraction.
Can we come round your place in years ahead to wonder at the funny man who can't let go a dead cause, a warning to us all about hubris.

An election under those circumstances would likely produce same result.
Venezuela seems to produce dictators with an allegedly open electoral system.
It's the use of underhand tactics not the vehicle-ref or election- that matters.
Exactly the same applies re your Napoleon example.
Those conditions describe the limited franchise and intimidation of England in 18C
There's a reason UK eventually accepted Chartist demands of secret ballot & extended franchise.

2% ballot in NI using sensible criteria
~20% in RUK with Blair's wooly extend the franchise drivel
Even in bad lawless 70's where cheating was widespread (& on both sides though SF worst culprit) Postal vote in NI Sinn Fein areas wasn't over 15%-should be food for thought.
And for the idiots whining that people don't all have driving licences read the sodding article or don't comment

Why have you vested so much in characterising leaving with a clean break as having no mandate? It's possibly the purest expression of leaving, and as you recognised yourself the only one available now which does.
