It stinks that some folks have to resort to pushing drugs to make money. I've been there myself, back between 2004 and 2007. Horribly addicted to opiates for three years after back surgery. Working on staying straight for almost five years. If I'm not mistaken, those pills are actually Oxycodone HCL IR 30mg tabs. If that's the case, they're worth even more.

I actually heard the crack, and Killingsworth st. had no power. Then about 10 minutes later, the neighborhood lost power. There were hot lines down in front of the post office. Power came back at 8. We ate Burger King and played Yahtzee. :D

My girlfriend and I trade between the car and MAX, but lately, I've practically insisted that she uses the car. The last thing she needs is to be attacked at random by a lunatic like this guy. I have a concealed weapons permit. If he reached into his pocket and charged at me, he would have been on the ground for a lot longer than his victims.

I've always been curious how fire investigators can figure that stuff out. I'd like to know how they're able to determine that something as small as a cigarette burned an entire house, when there are so many possibilities. At least everyone got out safely. That's what matters.

I've always been an animal lover, but I must admit that I'm getting a little nervous about Pit Bulls again. When I was a kid, the neighbors to the left of me had two of them, and whenever they got out of their yard, they would chase me or my mother. This must have happened almost a dozen times to me. It was unfortunate to find that the dogs' owner had been mistreating them. Then again, one of my current neighbors has raised two happy Pit Bulls over the last few years. Whenever I visit, they're always excited to see me and try to jump on me for a hug. I've read that these dogs can turn on a dime and become aggressive without warning, which is what makes me nervous about the breed. On the other hand, it sounds to me that in a lot of these cases, the owners aren't taking proper care of their animals. At least that's what I've witnessed over the past 30 years. Still, I keep a watchful eye if I see one, mostly because of my negative experience when I was younger. I'm rather appalled that in this case, the owner's solution was to lock their dogs in the garage.

Actually, I think this has a lot of potential. If I were a cyclist, I'd invest in a pair. Plus, I see it coming in handy for us, as drivers. I don't know about you, but it's my opinion that some cyclists think they own the street, so it would be helpful to see them before they dart out in front of me or cut me off on the road.

Based on the information in the story, the grow site is of legal status right now. However, if they do find any violations upon some further investigation in the future, the growers will be forced to comply or lose their ability to grow.

IF someone broke in, and stole the weed, the grow operation would continue from scratch. This grow is ENTIRELY legal by state law. Who knows, maybe they'll move out some day, and be replaced with a bunch of kids cooking meth. From what I hear, THAT'S a bad smell.
