My Whitchurch : Assembly Elections 2011

I'll keep an eye on it but having a quick look at the back end system the missing comments are either pingbacks (links from other sites) or messages marked as spam by the system, which when they are done so I am alerted and either approve or deny them. As to my political views well they are just that. MY political views. I don't claim anyone is right or wrong. Nor do I feel the need to justify them. I simply call it as I see it based on my own experiences and judgment and if they differ to others then great. I fail to see how this article can compared to a tory leaflet. If it was I'd be telling you what an awful job labour have done with certain things. That back and forth arguements between political parties really annoys me. I'd much rather a party that didn't even respond or care about other parties and just got on with their job. I've just watched the leaders debate on the BBC and it was only briefly mentioned that the key to a recession is not how we get out of it but how do we prevent it in the first place. Parties are quick to assign blame but none of them really take responsibility for much. Personally, I am all for making voting compulsory and I somewhat support the 'none of the above' idea. It doesn't provide a solution but would at least give an accurate view of what the public think. How we'd move forward from that, I'm not sure but htankfully it's not my job to find these solutions :)

yourCardiff : Indoor surfing centre could be coming to Cardiff

a bit novelty isnt it? I cant see many people paying £30 an hour to "have a go" but maybe if it works in Bedford then it can work in Cardiff. I just hope CCC dont balls it up like they usually do. Or is this just another "cardiff snowdome" sort of idea that never materialises?

My Whitchurch : Royal Wedding Party

Posters are going up in the village right now. It's 12-4 and it's free for everyone. You don't have to be a royal family supporter. This is more about bringing the community together and having a good family day out.

My Whitchurch : Whitchurch Car Parks

Hi Nicola, I would advise two things. If you have not already, report it to the police via 101 and get a crime reference number. Ask the police also about the CCTV. Second, report it to the council as it is council owned CCTV. I would recommend doing this through one of the local councillors or if you can, there is a PACT Meeting tomorrow night at 7pm in the community centre where local police and councillors will be in attendance :)

Thanks Chris. Next PACT is Sept 14th 7pm at the new community centre if you'd like to come. I'm guessing the trouble has been on the plas treoda side of the common? I know some of the kids that hang out on the common but there are always different groups/ages there.

Nobody is slating them for what they are doing. I just think doing it would be safer to do this before or after the summer holidays. I witnessed a group of kids (under 12) playing with a sawn off branch and it hit one of them quite hard in the face by accident.

Thanks Pat, I don't deny it's a great place, I think I wrote that in the article and to answer your question, it's because it only takes a few bad things to ruin something that is great. I'd like to stop that from happening.
