Honest errors are correctable, with the help of someone who understands the workings of IRS problem resolution. Unfortunately, it often takes way too long to correct those errors, but believe me whatever your tax preparer/CPA charges you it will be a he@@ of a lot less that tax and accumulated interest if you can't get a bull head (and there are a lot of them) IRS agent to listen to you....They DO listen to professional accountants and registered tax preparers.
