You said it. There are far worse atrocities happening in this country every day and the commoners then take the attitude "live and let be." The masses are the hypocrites, some even posting here.

For the record, the medical field is pretty inept on many fronts. While I marvel at some of their brilliance, I am VERY frustrated at their money games. All the things they want you to THINK you need so they can run your bill up. People die due THEIR actions as well, cases I won't go into here.

But this is ANEMIA, they should be able to treat that SIMPLY, not quick fix it with blood that they have NO idea what's breeding in it this week. I know people that donate blood and I would NEVER want their blood after knowing their lifestyles!!! So it is a perfectly sane call on the part of the parents and the medical field needs to tap on their brilliant side and treat the anemia in a SANE way.

The great doctors, Dr. Michael DeBakey, Dr. Denton Cooley, to name just a couple -- learned to do HEART TRANSPLANTS without blood and actually learned that the patient heals much better. Doctors be challenged and use your creativity, there is always more than ONE answer to solve a problem. Stop reaching for the fast fix that requires no thought and might even cause more disease (remember AIDS?) that will run up your bill, but worse, RUIN your life.

It sickens me that we operate mostly at the level of mediocrity and then want an award for our "great" work.
