The quest for ultimate control and a Socialistic Utopia. I believe that they really thought that the American people were fully on board with Obama's "change" message, yet as it is turning out, the change is far more radical & costly to even some of the more ardent supporters. When people are losing jobs, homes, etc., they start to re-think the "change" thing. Obama's campaign was centered around "anything but Bush" and the rally cry was "Change"...with no real definition of what that meant, the supporters were so caught up in the wave of excitement that they lost their focus on reality & how to repair a nation in need of help. He has no marketable experience to speak of, his radical past & associations should have been a RED flag, but the protective "bubble" that was built around him by the media kept the focus off of his non-accomplishments & diverted attention to Bush.
