/Film : Question: How Has the PG-13 Rating Changed Over The Years (if at all)?

You know what? You're spot on with this comment. I agree with absolutely everything that you just said. As for the pg-13 and R thing: What the hell are these idiots talking about with this "Drag Me To Hell should have been R" bull? The real statement is "Drag Me To Hell should have been PG." Think about Poltergeist, that movie had EVERYTHING that DMTH had in it, probably more, same level of curse words, same level of violence, it even had the parents smoking pot in one scene!

/Film : Joe Lo Truglio Joins Greg Mottola's Sci-Fi Geek Comedy Paul

Does anybody know if they are going to be using practical effects or cgi when it comes to the alien? I'd love to see some old school animatronics in this movie, but that might be wishing for too much in todays world. Still, loved the script, the banter between Pegg, Frost and the alien was funny as hell. This is definitely one to look out for.

I can't stand it when they cut movies like music videos! It's a movie, not a music video! It was cool when Guy Richie did it, like, twice, But it's not cute anymore, it's just an annoyance, a distraction. These studios and directors keep ruining perfectly good movies by cutting them like friggin music videos. This needs to be put to an end unless there is a good reason for it, like in The Wackness. But seriously, cutting Pelham 1 2 3 like a music video... Why? Did he not trust himself enough to create tension in the scenes without all the frantic cutting? End rant/

/Film : Gary Ross Writing Lance Armstrong Biopic

I can see how some uptight people might be offended. But it is more like art than a NSFW image. I mean, all those celebrities can pose nude and pregnant on the cover of magazines which are put at face level for everybody to see (yes, your boss and children included) at grocery stores around the world every day. Fight the power, Brendon! Keep it up!

/Film : Marus Nispel To Direct Conan?

It's all about the script, people, it's all about the script. I've heard good things so far, but with the studios you never know how much they are going to change. Nispel is a competent director. He can handle scenes, actors and special effects. He's perfectly "capable" of directing a good Conan movie... If the script is good. Why are we all bitching about this director when it's those two asshats they've got reworking the script that we should be worried about/

Cape Fear was more of a subtle, slow burn creepy. This looks like balls to the wall creepy. Still, that's probably about the best comparison to another Scorsese movie that there is, so yeah, that's a good point.

I'm sick of everybody talking bad about the script. Todd Phillips is going around acting like the script sucked before he came on board. It's not true! The script was EVEN BETTER before Phillips did his massive re-write. It had way bigger and funnier jokes (One of the characters wearing a pink thong with a man's name on it and claiming his butt is sore and where that leads, for example. I know it sounds silly, but it leads to one of the greatest running gags I've read). What Todd Phillips did was hire a GREAT casting director and add a Mike Tyson and his tiger, which didn't even matter in the scheme of things. He took out the best jokes and let it all rest on his actors shoulders. And you know what? THEY SAVED THE MOVIE. His actors saved it, not him. Don't get me wrong, the jokes that were kept in the movie and the actors were all fantastic! I especially love Galifaniakis(?). But seriously, I'd be pissed if I had wrote the script. This is BS. This is why screenwriters aren't looked up to more in Hollywood, because dickhead directors turn around and talk crap about your awesome script and take all the credit.

/Film : Is Harvey Weinstein Asking Tarantino To Cut 40 Minutes From Inglourious Basterds?

I love Tarantino movies as much as the next guy, but maybe this is a good thing. This will likely add to a larger theatrical draw, which will lead to more money for Tarantino to make more ridiculous movies, I'm sure at least a few people are weary of him after Grindhouse. Plus, this way we can all look forward to the extended Blu Ray or DVD of the flick. I'd love to see the full thing in theaters, but some movies have been saved by trimming a bit of the fat (see anything by Richard Kelly). General audiences do like more action and less self indulgent (I know we all enjoy it, but come on) dialogue, so this is likely the wisest decision for the studios. We can't be THAT mad at them, they are giving us an awesome movie and we'll all be able to see the full cut soon enough, let 'em make their money.

Not at all disappointing. "747 Down Over ABQ". He was telling us this was what was going to go down from the beginning. This is what had to happen.
Better late than never I guess, right Hunter... Anyway, I thought the episode was brilliant in the way that at first you feel a tinge of dissapointment, but then, you look back and you realize that the entire season was setting this up. The entire season and NOBODY guessed what was going to happen. Even the titles of the episodes with the Bear in them spell out EXACTLY what happens "747 Down Over ABQ". Amazing. Brilliant. I can't say enough.

I've seen that house before. Cool that it inspired the movie. If they want some real inspiration they should visit the house a few blocks away that looks like it's under the sea. That house is trippy.
