It costs money to camp at a campground.

Why not charge the OWS folks $30 a night to camp? That would help cover the payroll tax extension.

There is going to be a special committee to come up with the spending cuts that somehow we were unable to do this time. And if they can't do it, I guess it's up to our kids and grandkids.

Lots of things to worry about with the Korean peninsula, Chinese inflation, global imbalances, Ireland, etc.

Nobody seemed to notice that the Fed came out and said that growth would remain sluggish through 2011 and beyond.

This does not square with Kos talking points. Well, what does?

Yeah, great picture. Pretty obvious that dems can't even run a lemonade stand, let alone the US economy.

I can see November from my house!!!!

In CA, there was a big push over the past decade or so to reduce classroom sizes. I haven't seen any study where that has resulted in better test scores. I suppose it increased union jobs, which probably was the real agenda for those pushing the measure.

Maybe we should simply go back to previous classroom sizes, and let go of the extra staff.

The CA pensions and benefits were okay until last decade, when Gray Davis and the Legislature reduced the retirement age to 55 for general and 50 for safety, without increasing member and state contributions to the PERS fund. I think Arnold is trying to increase worker contributions into the fund, while rolling back benefits to the previous levels. That's a reasonable goal.
