I went to 3 stores yesterday just to check prices and a lot of people were pissed. Then when I told them that you can't compare Liquor store shelf prices to these shelf prices because you have to add tax they got even more pissed. A lot of people did not know that the prices on the shelf at the liquor stores included tax. My booze of choice was 52.99 now is 71.99 regular price at Safeway plus 20.5% liquor tax and 8.7% sales tax. I wish they could have done this so there were both state run and private sales. That way all these idiots that want to pay more for convenience or because they want to make some one else money other that the state can go private and the rest of us can go to state run stores.
